In early 2003 the Owner and wife decided to find some domestic activity to provide extra income to survive their extended families who were all dependant on their two weeks pay. Small joinery and furniture making with three unemployed male from the household were involved. With a small saving, some bales of second clothing were ordered from Australia and the unemployed ladies were employed.
With its successful humble beginnings, the domestic business has turned now into a chain of different business lines with production, sales and administration department across Tarawa and Christmas Island with more than seventy full time workers and more than thirty part time workers all attached to these activities;
